rush hour

yoz...wanna apologise for not blogging for a period of time...cos my life juz went frenzy when i returned from my holiday...wahahaz...as wat ong say...i really have a lot to yak abt...so this will be a pretty long entry...hehez...bear with me cos this is the last entry of year 2006 liaoz! C'mon let's celebrate! hahaz...yeah!

a small tribute to myself for turning 18 few days ago...it's not really a good feeling to spend ur bdae outside S'pore...hahaz...but no choice...so going to compensate for next year!!! yesh! i wan birthday bash!!! it's not childish hor...it's FUN! anyway...18 yrs old is OLD...gosh!

alright...tok abt my trip to china...specifically yunnan-kunming, dali & lijiang...plus thailand-bangkok...i really had a great time in china...visited the famous 'Stone forest'...play with snow...sat the open-aired cable car (the view of mountains is simply fantastic!)...learn abt the chinese tribes & culture...went to the 'Tian Long Ba Bu' filming site & the 'ancient/oriential themed' shopping centre...& many more...hahaz...oh ya...i bought quite alot stuff too...esp drama serials!!!! wahahaz...u noe wat...flowers are sold very cheaply in china...1 bunch of 6 roses is juz $2 with nice wrapping...probably wat i'm picky abt china is food...hahahz...alot alot of veg & oil! as for bangkok...it's juz all abt shop eat shop eat! hehez...no wonder grown fatter liaoz...

maybe it's luck...i managed to get a job in less than 48 hrs when i came back from holiday...thanx to recruitexpress (a job agency) & lili...my consultant...she is very persistent in finding a job for me....and i'm finally hired after previous rejections...actually i started working 3 days ago le...it's at woodlands...working as temp accounts assistant...hehez...my job is simple (more of admin) yet tiring (cos i've to deal with many numbers & alphabets!)...hahaz...cos i always not enough sleep...due to late nights for watching dramas...wahahaz...basically i find office job quite boring but somehow interesting (reasonable pay? attractive OT pay? hehez)....hmmmz...office fashion also give me headache (heels are killing my feet!)...haiz...lucky i only temp for 1 month...after tat...i'm jobless again...wahahahz....

met up with ong, ping & dor on fri night....glad to see them cos it had been months since we all 4 hang out together...we had a nice meal at Hans...talking & giving presents...hahaz...thanx for the bdae presents gals!!! i like them all!!! oh ya...hope ya like the souvenirs i bought too...hehez... rather excited tat u guys are coming to my house next tues...welcome welcome!!! hehez...

hmmmz....05S6G outing...shldnt say it's a failure...it turned out quite fine actually...ok...this time there's 5 ppl...at least not the worst record of 4 ppl during the sentosa trip....thanx to yao fei, wei ming, yu rong & fan yun for coming...in the end we didnt eat steamboat...we ate dinner, watch movie (Night in the museum!! very funny!!!), take pictures & play arcade!!! not bad after all...hehez...hope next time...more ppl can come & have fun together!!! it's a deal!! :P

been super busy these days...my life suddenly like rush hour....suddenly found myself working...suddenly found myself glued to drama serials...suddenly found myself involved in many outings...wahahaz...though it's tiring for the body but i think i spent my day worthwhile...hehez...2007 will soon arrive...will i have good luck all year round? hahahaz...hope so....

on holiday

woaa....i'm practically rushing this entry...so it's gonna be short & sweet...hehez...pardon me cos in another 8 hrs...i'll be flying off to China...and only be back Xmas day! Yes...long long 10 days away from home sweet home...hahaz...gonna miss my frens, comics, tv...and lots of stuff...hahahz

alright...actually i got loads of things to yak abt...ok...let's talk abt the 2 'job interviews' i've been...first...it's a recommendation by ong & her nice fren jane...it's a job position of a telemarketer...hmmm...actually we went through a job agency to learn abt this job...erm...actually i didnt like the evening hrs slot...the salary is ok but becos we need to meet a quota...it's quite hard to sell products through phone...so better to be safe than sorry...in the end...we didnt even went for the briefing...hahahaz...

2nd interview is also with a job agency called 'RecruitExpress'...this time i went alone...i sent my resume to one of the staff and was called for interview...so i went to their office at Ngee Ann City....hmmz...this is what i expected...a real working environment...the dress code, system are like sooo formal...i was almost frightened off...hahahaz...but as what i also expected...after an informal individual interview...i'm supposed to wait if there's suitable temp job (admin/customer service...) for me...hahahz...everytime i've to fill application form and wait...i think i'm cursed by god of employment....alamak...how come ppl so easy then can get job...i'm still sulky over phonecalls? hahahz...

so...i tell myself to enjoy this holiday...when i'm back...i've the whole time to find a job tat suits me...wahahahz...jia you to myself!

oh ya...i finally went to watch a movie at GV marina lately...it's a big improvement...cos i rarely spend money on movies in cinemas...i normally buy the vcd instead & watch at home...hahahz...i always find movie tickets expensive unless the movie is a must-watch...hmmm....ok...i went to watch 'The Holiday' starring Cameron Diaz & Kate Winslet with my bro...hahaz...i finally won first free pair of preview movie tickets since the change of new hp !!! YEAH! This movie is not bad...romance comedy...interesting romance plot & script...i'll rate 3/5.... oh...i also wan to watch 'curse of the golden flower' (jay chou movie) & death note 2...hope i can win the free tickets!!!

yikes...it's late and i haven complete my packing yet....gtg...see on 26th dec...i'll be back!!!

2 sides of life

hmmm...9 Dec...such a familiar date...wahahaz...of cos...it's my best bud, ong's 18th bdae!!! so i dedicated my lst para to her...18 yrs old represents the first step stepping into adulthood...becoming a demure lady and attracting guys...hahahaz...cos it's the primetime age for LOVE...hohohoho...blossoming time...ok lahz...besides all the mushy stuff...wish her all da best!

move on to my sucky job hunting...i really wan to give up on finding sales job already...last tues...went wif ong for a walk-in interview for sales associate job in robinsons...first of all...it's not an interview...juz briefing & filling up application form...but there're many ppl who wan to apply for this job and we ended up waiting for hours for the briefing that lasted less than 5 mins...i begin to dislike job interviews tat request ppl to wait for their call...do u noe it's troublesome for ppl to brood over phonecalls...and ppl restrain to find other jobs, thinking tat they may be employed...didnt know finding a good job with good hrs & good pay is hard...

obviously...i did not receive any calls from robinsons cos i knew it...hahaz...i'm had mixed feelings...despair yet relieved...despair cos they chose not to give me a chance to prove my capability & i'm been rejected twice liaoz lehz but i'm relieved cos the hours are long & pay is low...i'm been thinking abt my whole job hunting experience tat probably i'm not cut for sales due to appearance...hahahaz...dun be mistaken...it's not tat i look down on myself...it's juz reality tat one has to face... juz think abt it...u've to dress well to be a sales assistant selling clothes, u've to have nice complexion & good makeup to sell cosmetics, u've to have 'the' face tat supervisors find pleasant....etc...customers need to be convinced....tat's why i dun apply those sales assistant jobs...cos i'm quite hopeless at all these...wahahahahaz

however...never say quit cos i wanna try being a 'backstage crew' instead...in terms of doing admin work, being a telemarketer...need not use my appearance to please customers mahz...hahahaz...so i'm going for another interview to try for telemarketing in the courtesy of ong's recommendation....i dun carry high hopes though...cos i dun think my voice tat great...hehehez...but talking is something tat i like...hehez...aiyahz...i rather take a paparazzi job...hahahaz...urgh...ugly side of life...

luckily i'm still a student...so finding a job is not really priority at this pt of time...my plan is actually to start work during jan...wan to enjoy my dec holidays mahz...but because i'm facing some cash flow problems...hehez...so desperado lohz...ok... let's talk abt the fun side of my life...

last mon is cool day...cos went to celebrate early bdae for ong with hui & shawn...we met during the evening to have a nice dinner...we ended up in a hong kong restaurant...the food was economical & the taste was not bad...we had a lot of fun talking & yaking...the shop tat we can eat ice-cream & play board games ( recommended by hui) is not opened on mon! yikes...so we went to a cafe instead to order a slice of blueberry cheesecake ( ong's fav) for ong & sing bdae song...hahaz...i knew ong was touched lahz...& she looked damn pretty...cos she got her makeup on...wahahahz...sorry...i still believe in natural beauty...hehehz...but glad tat all of us had fun!

oohh...went out wif my bro & mum on wed to extend my bro's passport so can go holiday...then i realised this week's U weekly has KIM JEONG HOON on the cover lehz!!!! but it's all sold out liaoz...cos this week's copy costs only $1...ahhhhh...who has this copy??? can give me pls!!! :P
i managed to buy some clothes from this fashion in town area...hehez...selling cheap cheap...

hahaz...the blast of the week...Kbox outing with my nyjc classmates for the 1st time on fri!!!! frankly speaking...though we had been classmates for 2 yrs...we never really hang out together...so i'm sooo excited...met syl first in parkway...then we shopped & talked till it's time to meet the others at the Kbox outlet...there are 5 of us (me, syl, peiwen, xiangling & huimin!) in the room...singing our hearts out frm 2-7pm...i realised tat their voices are good...and our taste of songs are similar....it's great to sing & even dance with them...tat's y i realised time passed so fast!!! later, we had dinner together at yoshinoya...hahaz...we had fun laughing & chatting! i really dun mind hanging out again together!

i think i can juz blog one more time b4 i'm off to my holiday...now wat i'm looking for hor...is not my trip yet...it's STAR AWARDS 2006!!! yes...it's TML!!! it's a MUST WATCH!!! I'll strangle myself if I miss it lahz...cos i juz love to watch award ceremony!!! all the glitz, glam, thank-u speeches & overseas celebrities/idols (ahhh...Zheng Yuan Chang!!!) i even have a bet with my bro on the winners of each category...may the one with the good foresight win...hahaz....have a nice weekend to all! tat's my happy side of life!

haiz...now i finally get the feeling of being unemployed...wat an unsuccessful start for a person like me who's going to enter workforce soon...now i finally realise...being a student is such a wonderful thing!!! hahahz...

i'm not obliged to find a job of cos...but i'm compelled to find one...to feed my hangout sprees!!! the best is to stay at home so i wont keep spending money...but i dun have drama serials or animation to keep me at home! i luv to go out with my frens...but tat means money involved...so i'm like spending alot without earning any single cent!!! i definitely hate this feeling!!! i'm like seriously seriously broke! hahahahaz...u really need money to have fun...haiz...

i did try to find a job tat's really short term...cos i'm going overseas in mid dec...but indeed no one wld wan to employ a girl who can only commit 2 weeks...no wonder i got rejection from diasco & poh kim video...a good job is really hard to find...so i decided to give up and find a good job when i'm back from my holiday....hope so lohz...hohoho....

talking abt holiday...i'm going kunming/dali/ lijiang (China) & few days in bangkok on 16 dec...so next week will be my last post...then i'll resume when i'm back on 25 dec...christmas day...hehez...i'm excited for this trip cos i very long nvr go overseas liaoz...then can also shop like crazy....dun worry my frens...i'm sure to bring some souvenirs back...cos i always do...hahaz...probably the sad thing is i've to spend my one & only 18th birthday during overseas!!!! haiz...i always want to celebrate in s'pore lahz and also thought of spending with my frens ...but the holiday clashed so no choice!!!! but never mind lahz...21st bdae more important...hahaz... many ppl are going overseas too...so muz have fun!!!!

went to the bazzar with ong last fri...it's like sooo shocking that there are many many manga fanatics...most ppl leave the place happily with big red plastic bags containing many many comic books...there are old new titles up for grabs...older titles are selling at $1/$1.5o per book...new titles will have 10% discount...i expected myself to buy at least something but in the end...i went empty handed lahz...hahaz...cos i didnt like any of the old titles...then the new titles still out of my budget...hehez...but i'm really surprised to see ppl buying 50 over books...it's like hundred over dollars...i rather borrow 100 comic books with the money...hahaz...tat's wat i call...a manga fanatic...i'm juz small case...hahaz...

then went to shop with ong at vivocity...actually nothing much lahz...cos as we named ourselves...we are budget teenagers...we prefer heartland areas where prices are within our range...hahaz...maybe all will change when we earn our pot of gold...hehez...

the best is to visit the comic shop in hougang...yes!!!! i'm dying to read manga lahz...ahhh but now have to save some money for this hobby....hehez...why i juz cant pick up some gold??? :p
